The SAAS Resident/Fellow Development Scholarship is a travel grant supporting attendance of a surgical trainee at the Association for Academic Surgery’s (AAS) Fall Courses, held each year just prior to the American College of Surgeons’ Clinical Congress. The recipient of this award serves a two-year term as a Resident member of the Scholarships Committee.

Application opens: May 1, 2026
Application deadline: Extended to June 12, 2026

In addition to covering the registration, the scholarship will cover 2 nights lodging at the meeting hotel and domestic economy airfare with the total travel reimbursement up to $1500.
