Mid-Career Award

The SAAS Mid-Career Award is a grant supporting the attendance of a faculty member to the Society of University Surgeons’ (SUS) Mid-Career Academic Surgery Professional Development Course. Thanks to a generous gift from Past-President Dr. Tracy Wang, this award will support a mid-career faculty interested in developing their leadership skills in academic surgery. The 2026 course will be held in Orlando, FL, on February 2, 2026, which will precede the Annual Academic Surgical Congress. The award will cover up to $1250 to cover registration and a two-night hotel stay.
