Dear SAAS Members,

We hope that this greeting finds you and your loved ones safe and healthy.

As the current global pandemic continues, many of our members and colleagues are finding themselves at the center of this fight against COVID-19. We continue to stand in solidarity and profound gratitude for everyone on the frontlines of this extraordinary battle.

We have been watching the pandemic’s evolution very closely and have had extensive discussions about the 2020 meeting. Given the uncertainty about ongoing stay-at-home orders in conjunction with different parts of the country/world at different stages of the pandemic, and the financial impact of the pandemic on our institutions, we have decided to cancel the in-person meeting, originally scheduled to be held September 18-21, 2020 in Honolulu, Hawaii. We will be updating everyone soon on the plans regarding the dates and location of the 2021 meeting.

We hope to have some component of our meeting, focused on professional development, as a virtual session. Your input on what should be included would be most welcome and we will be providing additional information as those plans develop.

With sincere wishes for continued good health and safety,

SAAS Executive Council
